Hello again! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday filled with family and friends, good cheer, and great food. I can't believe that today is the end of the holiday season! It seems like it only just started, but now, we're technically just around the corner from spring (or at least I hope we are!). And with that, it's time to ring in the New Year! This year has been a great year for Ambrosia. I feel like I have grown as a blogger, as a writer, as a baker, and as a photographer. While there's still so much more for me to learn, I definitely feel a million times more confident in my ability to take recipes and make them my own, and I feel like I'm beginning to understand the perspective through which I like to cook, or at least the direction I aspire to cook in. My photography has improved considerably (at least I think so!), and I'm quickly realizing that food photography has the potential to become something more than a hobby. I really love it, and I would just love to learn more about the craft. 2013 had some great things in store for Ambrosia, and I'm sure that 2014 will be even bigger and better. I can't wait! In the meantime though, we have just one more recipe to discuss, because I'm sure all of you have some kind of plan for New Year's Eve tonight, right?
If you're in need of a simple and impressive and of course, last minute, appetizer or hors d'oeuvre to serve alongside some bubbly tonight, look no further than these cheese straws. They look fancy, in reality only take about a whopping five minutes to make and then fifteen to bake. Crazy easy and crazy delicious. I'm sharing the recipes for two different variations of these cheese straws over on the Make and Takes blog today, where I was recently asked to become a guest contributor (so awessommmeee). This means that once a month, you'll find a brand new Ambrosia recipe on the Make and Takes site. I'm thrilled to be starting this new partnership, and I suggest you click on over to their site for the full recipe instructions. Happy New Year everyone, take care, and thanks for making this such a great year!
Stay tuned until next year!!!
